Scanning the room, I was impressed with our efforts. The classy night at Cafe 62 had commenced; Carrie and I were dressed head to toe in our cocktail glamor.
A full table of appetizers, varying from some simple edamame to freshly made salmon rolls, was placed out on the dining room table. We strategically nibbled on food before people arrived to silence our rumbling stomaches. With drinks in hand, we welcomed everyone and started to fill our glasses.
As hostesses, we made sure glasses were filled and plates were full. I don’t think anyone left unhappy. This definitely will be a repeat event.
