Feeling the Fall

Growing up in San Diego, I never really comprehended the meaning of seasons. Palm trees never really turned beautiful colors of browns, oranges, reds, and yellows and it never really got cold, well on occasion. Now with a couple of years under my belt of living in actual season changing places, I have really come to appreciate the brisk air and changing leaves that come with fall. Plus, scarves have become my new favorite accessory. Madrid has beautiful parks to take day time strolls. Parque del Retiro, Parque del Oeste, and if you would like to venture a bit further, Casa de Campo are all great areas for outdoor activities with gorgeous foliage. Take the time to appreciate it, soon enough winter will be here and those day time strolls will turn into quick “i am freezing cold” trots.

  1. Shaun and I were in Madrid over New Years. While it can be a bit brisk, Retiro Park is still amazing.

  2. These pictures are beautiful! You really captured the colors of Fall! Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed reading your blog, I’m glad I stumbled across it. Following!:)
