Venice is known for its lovely canals and waterside views around every corner. This last visit redefined “waterside views.” Within the past couple weeks, Venice has been receiving record rain fall which of course means significant tide changes. However, a bit of rain never stopped us from having fun, even if there is flooding. Luckily the city provided temporary walkways so we were still able to explore. Unfortunately my umbrella wasn’t much help and neither was my mother who was laughing and taking pictures of my struggle as you can see below. But don’t worry, I got the last laugh. Umbrella-karma came around and by the end of the trip only two little arms were functional on hers.
