Known for its fashion, Milan definitely proved to have extensive shopping. However being a business city, many people commute in and out making it more of a short-visit location rather than an extensive-stay travel destination. The city livelihood doesn’t extend much outside of the touristy areas. This is not saying that it is a place to ignore. I had one of the most amazing squid ink pasta with calamari, tomatoes, and zucchini blossoms complimented with a nice bottle of red wine to then finish off with chocolate pear tart and some limoncello. And don’t forget the Duomo Cathedral, it is a must see when visiting. If you plan on making your visit to Milan a shopping trip you will need lots and lots of time. Plan accordingly. I spotted some amazing finds.
